I like both actually. I think that both are true life, but Ginny and Harry growing apart is a little more romantic, I think. In those kind of stores no one gets hurt. Many times they end up one big happy family. I'm not so sure that that is true to life. I know many people want a story that has all of the lose ends tied up, but life is not neat that way. Another reason I do not like the epilogue in DH.

I didn't mind the epilogue in DH. To me, the whole Harry Potter saga is a fairy tale, and fairy tales can have happy endings. Life isn't always that way, which is why some people read fairy tales, to escape, and to imagine nice things happening to the people they read about, even if terrible things happen along the way.

I can agree to that. I still though that the epilogue was rushed and a tac on that the author put on the end to make people happy and have there "Happly Ever After".

I see it in a different light. I think JKR had that epilogue in mind right at the beginning of her writing journey. I think she included it, not only for others, but mainly for herself. She's mentioned that family is one of the most important things to her, and I think she felt that Harry and his friends deserved their own "Happily Ever After".

Of course, you're not alone in your interpretation. Many people have expressed their disgust at the epilogue. :D
